Guide for Indian almond leave for bettas
These special leave for bettas has a second name
that goes by catappa leaves. These leaves originate from the tree called
Terminalia tree ( Terminalia catappa ). It is an originally Indian almond tree
for these fantastic leaves.
Indian almond leaves for betta
are
suitable for both body and mind. They can help them recover faster by healing
the process if they are injured or help them with anything negative in their
mind, such as stress.
Wear and tear
Nothing happens in the first few minutes when these
leaves are placed inside the aquarium. Your fish will explore these leaves,
inspects them, or even take a tiny bit at them. After a while, leaves will fall
off, breaking down into small pieces.
This is the phase where the acid is produced ( born
). That acid is called tannins acid, which is responsible for everything. You
see, these leaves are not necessary, but the procedure where the leaves break
down into small pieces and form tannins acid, this is everything that makes
these plants valuable and beneficial for an aquarium pet.
Darkness in water
When almond leaves started to break down into
pieces, they formed tannins acid, which may already have mixed up in the water.
The more it mixes up with the water, the darker it gets.
You may also notice that back in the wildlife, there
are many ponds and shallow water where betta is living freely and happily, but
that water is so dark that even a person can't see what is inside that water.
Why is that? It is all because of privacy, mating time, or the breeding
process.
But don't let this darkness fool you, it may sound
or feel like nothing to the fish, but in reality, it's pretty healthy for a
fish to live in such water.
