pH level tells so much about the water and its characteristics. It can mean how many or what type of chemicals and adhesive the water has and how it can be found dangerous later on for any fish.

But thankfully, Indian almond leaves can naturally reduce the pH level. Also, they can maintain that level as long as they are not entirely consumed, which stays the same for 1 or 2 months.

Ideal pH level

The ideal pH level for any aquarium fish, not only for a betta, is said to be around or equal to 7 because this is the level where there are no harmful chemicals and adhesives in the water, which are dangerous for a fish.

Also, pH level 7 is clean, high quality, and pure from any side effects. Water is the primary source of betta fish, just like humans, which is oxygen.

Ways to lower the pH level.

There are several ways by which this task can be achieved. Every method is different; some are expensive and easier than others. But one thing is inevitable if you are doing anyone below form, you are reducing the pH level in the water.

1.        Peat moss

Peat moss is one of the most beautiful and unique natural ways to lower water's pH level. Because this plant act as a natural filtration method in the water which also releases tannic and gallic acid at the same time.

2.        Driftwood

Driftwood is one of the essential aquarium products in the world. It looks like peat moss and is a natural resource for lowering the pH level. One of the most vital abilities of driftwood is that it will reduce the stress level in the fish, leading them to live a happy life.

Also, this plant will not change the color of the water as Indian almond leaves do.

3.        Indian almond leaves
